What we believe
Scripture: BBC believes that all Scripture is the inspired Word of God. We believe men of God, moved by the Holy Spirit, wrote it, thus, it is without errors. We believe that all of the Bible was designed for our practical instruction, training and nourishment. (1 Timothy 4:6, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Peter 2:2, 2 Peter 1:21)
God: BBC believes that God exists eternally in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God. (Matthew 28:18-19, Mark 12:29, John 1:1-4, Acts 5:3-4, 2 Corinthians 13-14, Hebrews 1:1-3, Revelation 1:4-6)
Jesus Christ: BBC believes that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God Who took on a sinless human nature, being born of the virgin Mary. We believe that He was God-man: a perfect, sinless man throughout His life while retaining His absolute deity. We believe that because of His love for mankind He came to serve mankind and become the one perfect sacrifice which took away the sin of the world. We believe that the just judgments of God against sin, which every man deserves, fell on Jesus at the cross. His substitutionary death, the just for the unjust, paid the price for the salvation of all people of the world. We believe that God raised Jesus bodily from the grave on the third day. We believe that Jesus later ascended to the Father's right hand, where He now is the head of the Church and intercedes for believers. (Luke 1:30-35, John 1:1-18, Philippians 2:5-8, Hebrews 4:15, John 1:29, Romans 3:25-26, 2 Corinthians 5:14, 1 Peter 3:18, John 20:20, Romans 8:34, 1 Corinthians 15:3-5, Ephesians 1:22-23, 1 John 2:2)
Holy Spirit: BBC believes that the Holy Spirit is omnipresent from all eternity and took up His dwelling in the world in a special sense on the day of Pentecost. We believe He makes new, indwells and seals every believer, and by His baptism joins each believer to the body of Christ at the time of salvation. We believe that he is ever presesnt to testify of Christ and seeks to direct believers' attention to Christ. (John 14:16-17, 16:7-15, 1 Corinthians 6:19, Ephesians 2:22, 2 Thessalonians 2:7)
Mankind: BBC believes that God created man in His image and likeness. We believe that man fell through sin, and as a consequence of sin, lost his spiritual life. We believe that this spiritual death, the total depravity of human nature, has been transmitted to the entire human race with the result that all men are sinners, hopelessly sinful in themselves apart from the grace of God. (Genesis 1:26, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12, Ephesisians 2:1)
Salvation: BBC believes that in his natural state man is spiritually dead in sin. We believe that salvation is God's free gift through which God delivers an individual from spiritual death to life in Christ. We believe that this gift is received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for our sin and rose again. We believe that all who have recieved eternal life through faith in Christ are eternally secure in Christ and can have assurance of that salvation. (John 1:29, John 3:16, Romans 3:26, Romans 5:1, 1 Corinthians 15:3-5, 2 Corinthians 5:19, Ephesians 2:1-9, 2 Timothy 2:6, 2 Peter 2:1, 1 John 2:2, John 5:24, John 10:28, Romans 8:24-39, Ephesians 1:13-14, Ephesians 4:30, 1 John 5:13)
The End Times: We believe that believers in this age are to live in expectancy of the coming of Christ in the air for the church, at which time all Christians -- those who have died in Jesus and those who are alive -- will be translated into the presence of Christ, who will transform their bodies into conformity with the body of His glory. (1 Corinthians 15:51-51; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:11-14; 1 John 3:1-3) We believe this event will be followed by a period of great tribulation on the earth, climaxed by the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth with power and great glory to establish His Messianic Kingdom. (Matthew 24:15-25:46; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 5:1-11; Revelation 20:1-6)
Ordinances: BBC believes that water baptism and the Lord's Supper (communion) are the only ordinances of the church and that they are for all believers. (Matthew 28:19-20, Luke 22:19-20, Acts 10:47-48, Acts 18:7-8, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
