Check back to this page for the latest updates on BBC ministries and services.
Last Sunday, March 15th, we addressed the possibility that BBC may be shifting toward online services in the weeks ahead due to the coronavirus. As we followed updates in Texas and surrounding counties, the elders on Wednesday afternoon made the decision to not hold any live services or events until further notice due to the spread of Covid-19. Unaware to us, at the same time, the mayor of Brenham was signing a local disaster declaration for the city of Brenham mandating that all gatherings of more than ten people – not concerning businesses or places where activities and shopping are necessary – be stopped immediately. [See more information for this order at the KWHI website]
We are working rapidly, however, to bring our Sunday services and many of our ministries online. In such a time as this, our goal is to not only be a blessing for those in our church family, but also those in our community who are looking for answers in a time when they are struggling to find hope. We believe these decisions honor the governmental authorities God has placed over us and allow us to walk with wisdom and love toward our community.
This upcoming Sunday we will be posting our worship service to our social media channels and sermon section of our website. There is much to learn in a short time and we will certainly have some bumps along the way, but our hope is to bring a blend of pre-recorded and live content that strengthens the body and glorifies our great God.
In addition, there are new dedicated pages on our website where you’ll be able to access the services and resources for our other ministries that are moving online that can help you and your family navigate through this season.
We highly encourage you to join us live, Sunday at 9:30 am, but if you are unable to for any reason, the services will also be available to watch at a later time.
Right now is a time of great opportunity for us to speak and model the gospel to our neighbors. We are praying that our words and actions in such a time as this lead us to know Christ and make Him known to those around us. We will miss getting to worship with you in person, but we are thankful this current condition is no surprise to God and He has provided the means for us to gather in spirit as we continue to live for Him.
