A huge thank you to all the guys who have come out to start construction on the playground fence and those who brought refreshments… and to all who contributed funds to help us break ground on the new BBC playground! If you come by the church you can expect to see some very large posts rising up out of the ground in the grass near the church offices. We were able to modify some of the plans without additional cost and are developing a larger wall that will have live greenery growing on it to create a natural barrier between the building and the play area.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings next week (May 13, 14, 15 from 5:30-7:30 pm) we will have small teams helping put in additional posts. We are also planning for a playground work morning May 25 from 9 am to noon. The work requires heavy lifting and is not kid-friendly. Able-bodied men of the church are encouraged to come out and help.
