Winter Wonderland?
It doesn't look like much. Several days with temperatures way below freezing will do that to the land - even worse than the normal dormancy of winter. It's hard to believe that in a few weeks the field and trees will be green again. There's no sign of any of that life except some tiny, incredibly hardy weeds. But the life IS there, even if we don't see it yet. There may even be bluebonnets stirring under all the dead grass!
The other life stirring on the property isn't visible yet, either. However, a committee is already
meeting and making plans for the NEW BUILDING that will one day occupy this field. Located on Hwy 290 near Indian Paintbrush, approximately a 3 minute drive east of the light at 577, we have about 10 acres to develop. A sign will be marking the property as ours as soon as it can be made. There's no timetable yet for the building's construction, but the committee is eager to get things moving. As plans continue, we'll have a special page on the website for you to see the progress. In the meantime, you can check out the property yourself. Just don't use the driveway unless you have an off-road 4-wheeler (or a really good friend with a tow chain)....

On Sunday, 2/28, Jon Sheptock will speak at the Worship Service, telling the story of the special life God has given him: given up for adoption at birth because of physical disabilities, taken into a family that now has 37 children and grandchildren, and a singing and speaking career, not to mention a wonderful family with 3 daughters of his own.
